driving to work this morning, had it in drive floored it kicked down then more smoke and flat spot.

put it in sequential shift, drove it hard no problems at all.

just a thought, the car was serviced by ford before I picked it up. possible that a reflash might help then?

if it doesn't, I will put the standard tune on it and see if the problem goes away at least until I can get it on the dyno.

the brown residue on the exhaust tip is black when you run your finger through it.

what fuel are you running in it?

BP 98 is the only thing I've put in it since I've had it.

Reflashed it, can't get it to blow any smoke at the moment...

From experience I wouldnt use the CAPA generic tunes...you might also be pinging...and if you keep giving it bootfulls on this generic tune...sooner or later your going to bend a rod...

can't say for sure if the tune is generic or not, I've got an SCT with 8 and 10 psi tunes on it as well as stock. No CAPA branding on it...

Capa distribute them as far as I know SCT make them.

Get a custom tune buddy at least you know that the tune is right for the car.

8 and 10 psi tunes are generic. If they were custom it would read something like: economical or performance etc.

Capa tunes are known to blow engines, especially the 10psi tune. My C&V Generics are waaay better, but still not bullit proof. Best way forward is a custom tune.
