It only has to support the weight of the tailshaft and really, they are a pretty basic and simple item..

How much does a tailshaft weigh at 6000rpm?

Not sure.. but if it is spinning that fast then gravity is no concern, The weight will be evenly distributed and I am thinking that the angle of the diff pinion etc will determine where the damage is going to be. Of course when you start to slow down the loop will start to bear the weight.. But then again, I am not an Mechanical Engineer so who knows :)
