About a month ago I brought a nizpro intercooler and plenum from the Cobra stage II kit. The guy was selling due to upgrading - so he kept his pipe work and CAI ETC. So I have a few questions.

How hard is it to bolt up plenum and obviously move the Throttle body??

I am thinking going for a Rapid under battery CAI and hotside. And fabricate my own cold side. Sound like a reasonable plan?? What issues will I have doing this??

I am going to fit it myself - save on costs, Will I be able to drive it to my tuner untuned its about 30 or 40k??

When I get home I will have not driving car for about 4 months (family running it every now and then)So I don't really want to go from driving toyota hiluxs and land cruisers to driving a 350RWKW beast that will definately kill me. So I was thinking I might get it tuned to run around 7 or 8 PSI and keep it to around 250RWKW. Will make my clutch last abit longer and 2 months down the track when I get the bug it won't cost me more - just a retune.

Last but not least what are the limits of the stock fuel pump and injectors???

Leave it all off until you get back from wherever you are going for 4 months. Then take the lot to a tuner, get them to fit it all and tune it. Grab a clutch while you are at it.

Whats the point in bolting on crap, spending $800 on a very low tune only to leave it for 4 months, then come back and have it re-tuned?

Besides, the tuners bolt on plenums, piping all the time...you dont. Why risk your car to save a few hundred bucks? Don't be impatient, do things properly the first time.

As I understand it, if all you want is 250rwkw, you can easily get that with just a tune on stock equipment for a BF ... and you won't kill yourself with over 300 at the wheels as long as you can control your foot

No no you see, I'm home in about a month been away for 3 months - I think your right though get the tuner to bolt on the plenum etc providing he isn't going to charge like a wooned bull for it.

The reason I brought the nizpro gear is it was to cheap not to $1150 NZD for plenum intercooler and rocker cover. Seemed like a good plan at the time lol.

Have found a new tuner and waiting for a response... Hopeflly he is abit cheaper than my last one. Don't really want to spend another 5 k in 1 hit lol
