hey guys got a brand new exhaust cause my old was was sounding very tinny and drony as I had the centre muffler removed but it wasnt THAT bad

put a brand new 100 cell cat and removed the centre muffler on the new system thinkin it would make difference which it did in performance. goes very hard yet the noise when I get stuck in to it is very annoying and embarresing to drive.. My car is a BF XR6 mk2 ute and all I want is a nice deep note without the tinny sound..

should I put the centre muffler back on and change the cat back to 400 cell ? any ideas would b appreciated. cheers

My suggestion would be to reinstall your centre muffler or install a long hot dog in it's place. With the N/A engines being twin cam and all the exhaust will make an aweful sound without something to reduce the resonation. Have a talk to an exhaust place they should have prior knowledge of this.

a large hot dog will help, although I am yet to hear a late model Falcon (or Late model camira for that matter) NA 6 sound any good.
