Help! Stuck In Sydney With Diff Problems

hey guys I need some help. drove from brissy to sydney, got a very weird noise starting to happen. sounds like a metallic scraping noise when I drive but it only happens when I put my foot down. its fine at a constant speed. does anybody have an idea what this is, I jacked both wheels up and put it in first but the sound was hardly there, is this my diff. need help, stuck in sydney and need to get it to a good mechanic

Mate I have the same noise in my BA mk2 sedan. Ford told me it was the diff.

mate im in north shore atm. found out it wasnt my diff but it is my tailshaft. was caused by my suspension being loose which allowed my diff to move down when I launched which has worn out my rear cv. hopefully it wont cost to much. I am taking it out to sydney driveline service in greenacre for them to have a look at it.

its a ute with a 2 piece shaft

Quick update. Turned out it was my rear cv on the tailshaft. Made it to coffs before it blew. Driveline services are fixing it for me.

What work are they carrying out to it and what's the damage to the bank account?

replacing rear cv for $138, extra for balancing etc. so hopefully should be about 200.

heres some photos, as you can see it blew pretty bad

I rang ford and they told me they cant replace that part, they will only replace the whole tailshaft for $2500

......wtf.
