Hi Guys,

I'm new here as is my car.. I've got a '08' Plated BF Mk2 F6 Typhoon (Ego in Colour)

Having just got sold my WRX which I had a Boost gauge, now have the F6 with the standard boost gauge on the dash.

I'm wondering about how much in 'psi' do these gauges read?

Would appreciate any info.

Thank guys

Peter..

:o

well I think they go to 7psi stock, get yourself some good aftermarket gauges eg autometer cobalt(they match the factory dash lights pretty well )or xforce gauges. so you get an accurate reading.. :spoton:

:useless:

Thanks for that, I do believe standard boost for a F6 is 8psi.. (Not 100% sure on that)

which makes the gauges read a bit over half..

Just wanted to know how much "psi" it would be at the top end of the gauge..

well I run 12psi in my f6 and gauge goes all the way to the end of gauge reading.

I reckon it reads as 1 bar? 1 bar = roughly 14.5 psi

Could be wrong though as I am only guessing at this as I have wondered about it before. I only guessed this after seeing pics of the new FG dash as I think that gauge shows 1 bar.

Quite OT, but if you eventually find the lack of factory gauge calibration frustrating..

Those gauges you see are supplied through 'ozegauge dot com dot au', made by a company called 'Auto Gauge' in Taiwan. They fit in with the FPV blue etc pretty well and come in metric units unlike Autometer Cobalt etc. That said, the Autometers are a top gauge when it comes to build quality and function. The only criticism of those you see in the vid is that you can hear the movement at startup. I got Oil temp, oil pressure and boost.

The tripod you see can be got from Pole Position Auto in the forum sponsors section.
