I have just booked my car in with Mick to get a custom tune done, he asked me to get the Strategy No using the flash tuner. Problem is I tried this and get strange symbols see picture below.

Anyone else had this issue with there flash tuner? what did you do to fix it?

you possibly have no VIN info stored in your PCM. I have seen a fair few BAs that have the same thing after being reflashed by ford.

as far I know it shouldnt effect the xcal boxes as they just lock to whatever is there but your car wont be able to be tuned by VCM Suite until you can convince ford that the VIN should be in the PCM... good luck with that

Bit lost here..... Aren't you flash tuning and not using vcm suite??

was talking to pit lane today and he said he could use that number do start planning out his tune for when I go in next week. So you don't think there is anything wrong with the flash box?

I will ring herrod tomorrow to ask them see what they say.
