Fpv Disc With Xr6 Calipers

Hey all

I got a pair of front typhoon discs of a mate as he upgraded.

Question is where do I get an adaptor bracket to space the caliper out.

Its a standard BA caliper. Would love to get 4/6 pots but finances dont allow it, and I could spend the $$ on other projects.

Has anyone done this or is there something that interferes or does not line up.

I have 18" rims so hope they fit under there too.

Any help much appreciated as it will save me time test fitting and finding out they do or dont fit the hard way.

You can't space a sliding caliper out for a thicker rotor if that is what you mean but on the other hand if you mean to raise the caliper higher to fit a bigger diameter rotor that is a different thing and although we do not do them it will also depend on what the actual rotor size is you want to fit it to.

yeah I understand the caliper only has limited travel but didnt think to measure the disc thickness yet. pretty sure they wont be too much different and should fit.

What I want to do is put a bigger diameter disc on and keep the standard calipers.

Have searched the net for brackets but couldnt seem to find any, and being busy at work hasnt allowed me to go round to brake shops to ask.

just thought I'd take the easy (lazy) way and ask if anyone had done it or known of someone who had

Wern't Ba Pads thinner than bf , They reduced the thickness on the rotor and increased the pad thickness unless u chase half worn pads what thickness difference is there

BA BF with twin piston non FPV calipers have either 298mm or 322mm front disc rotors that are 28mm thick and take the same brake pads.

To answer your question the 355mm rotors fit under BA 18" wheels (just)!

As for your 4 pots, you already have the rotors. You may get some second hand ones cheap

off the forum for a bit over a grand.

how can u fit a 32mm wide disc into a caliper designed for 28mm discs.....
