Will The 6 Speed Auto Automatically Upchange In Performance Mode.

I have had my FG XR6 Turbo Auto for a month now.

Will the 6 Speed Auto automatically change up a gear in Performance Mode or will it hit rev limit? Ie. When you are flooring it.

in a bf the car upshifts in Performance Mode by its self unless you play around manualy changing gears in which case it will hit the rev limit

its an easy fix to the make car shift again by its self by just putting it back into normal d mode and push it back across to Performance Mode again I cant see why an fg would be any diff

Performance mode...yes it will. Manual mode...nope.

performance auto its shifting it self so no wont hit the limiter.. in manual shift yes it will hit the limiter and its a pain cause it just cuts the power and feels like the brakes have been put on all of a sudden.. caught me out before when enjoying the surge of power

hey, well think it depends whether your in performance manual or performance auto mode... when I was in performance manual mode (when you tap it up and down), once I didnt change outta first in time and it just kept bouncing off the limiter while the wheels were spinning, so I don't think it will change up. I have noticed that it does still change down sometimes though when you put the boot into it while in a high gear, which I don't like...

I'm intrigued. I thought there was manual shift (performance mode) or full auto. Is there a performance auto mode? I was unsure if the gearbox was smart enough to up shift when it needed to in manual shift mode. Ie. To stop you redlining the engine. I used to drive a 911 Tiptronic and it would change up for you automatically when in manual shift mode.

I also drove a Smart car for a while and it did the same. (But don't tell anyone)

If you flick it to the left it'll be in performance mode, changes the shift points but otherwise still automatic. Only once you move it forward or backwards it'll be in manual mode.

So in manual mode it won't change up, but it will change down if it thinks it needs to....or when you come to a complete stop (will change down as far as second I think)
