My Fg Xr6 Turbo

Hi all. This is my very stock FG XR6 Turbo.

I will be doing some mods a little down the track, at the moment I am just letting it settle in and see if there is any warranty issues before I do any other things.

Here is the before & after shots.

I went from an AU3 XR8 to this and man it is a rocket. loving ever minute I sit behind the wheel.

The stripes ruin a great looking car, Ill never fathom why someone can spend so much on a new ride then shove cheap and tacky crap all over them.

Pull the stickers off and slam it

The guy I got the stripes thru made a template up for the FG so I'm not sure if he has done a BA before. I can ask if you would like.

As for being cheap and tacky well each to their own I suppose, let me tell you they certainly were not cheap. I have no desire to drop it as I have been down that path before and all you doing is throwing the whole dynamics out the window, the ride is bad and every little bump/hump/dip in the road you have to stop to get over.

Everyone I have spoken to has had a different opinion of the stripes some good some bad. At the end of the day its my car and I love it.

The colour isn't black it is silhouette, it sometimes looks black, very dark grey, very dark blue, depends on the day/time/light/angle.

I have a couple of other cars that I am working on putting together.

1. 1972 TC Cortina 4 door, my plan is to put in newer Falcon running gear, eg. 1996 up a basic ba/fg engine and gearbox.

2. 1974 MK3 2 door Cortina. my plan on this is to drop in an FG XR6 turbo motor and all the gear to make it run nicely.

Don't listen to them. I reckon it looks horn as. I plan on doing this to my Nitro FG (when it arrives ), but am goning to team it with a GS style side stripe I think. I've been searching for this pic for ages. I couldn't remember where I'd seen it. They should make a pic search, to search through the tags or something.
