John K Member 141 Member For: 17y 4m 8d Location: Sydney Posted 03/04/09 10:36 AM Author Share Posted 03/04/09 10:36 AM I agree they are way too noisy on the open road.I dunno what it is with Dunlop, but this cr@p with their noisy tyres isn't the first time for me.Years ago a mate and I got new EF Falcons at the same time.Mine was with the ever faithful Bridgestone RE92's (one of the all time classic tyres in my books) and his somehow got Dunlops.The difference in noise was absolutely astounding.His sounded like a Landrover with bar treads compared with mine. Up to 50,000 and they still look brand new.Very quite, stick like glue and give great road feel. I also have some Maxxis MAV-1's on my MX5 and find they wear really good but do suffer bad tyre noise at about 60-65kph.
