hey guys.

ive got a 03 ba xr6 ute and im putting a new deck down the bottom of the standard stereo and im stuck with the speaker wires. where do the speaker wires plug in to the back of the standard deck, and can I cut them out and exstend them to reach my new deck?

any help would be good.

wen I installed my deck I pulled my front left, rear left and rear right speakers from behind the glove box and the front right from the drivers side kick pannel!!!

do u no wehre they come out right behind the starndard HU? im guessin there in that plug that the standard HU gets pushed on to.

can u remember what colour the wires were aswell??

don't think you can hook them straight into the back

as said you can find the wires in the front kick panels 3 sets on the left side and 1 on the right

but sutting and hooking the deck to these disables the sound from the factory unit and you loose steering wheel controls

have the wires written down some where I will go have a look

no responsability taken if you stuff this up

drivers kick panel ,

front right speaker grey with green stripe and grey with black stripe

passenger kick panel

left front speaker orange with light green and orange with black

right rear speaker blue with red and blue with black

left rear speaker pink with green and pink with black

when you strip the wires the copper wires are the nagative ones

you will find these wires coming out of the large conector closest to the door opening down near the floor

PLEASE make sure you know what your doin before you start cutting wires

if your not sure - GO TO A AUDIO SHOP/INSTALLER! PLEASE!!!!!!

Might be worth using test light/MM to double check...

drivers kick panel ,

front right speaker grey with green stripe and grey with black stripe

passenger kick panel

left front speaker orange with light green and orange with black

right rear speaker blue with red and blue with black

left rear speaker pink with green and pink with black

PLEASE make sure you know what your doin before you start cutting wires

the colour are spot on. the negative speaker wire have the black trace on them. they are in a big orange connector behind the kick panel. Make sure your run your speaker wires into the SPEAKER side of the wires you cut. Not the wires that lead back to the ICC.
