Hi All!! New member here!...I have a T6 & also a Herrod 250 kw ute...the ute JUST pips the T6 ...ONLY just, though!...Had a drive of a Boss sedan on monday ( Auto)...The roar IS awesome!, however reckon the manual would REALLY get this beast moving?...The auto felt a bit "sludgy" to me?....

It's quite a dillema. On the one hand you have the Boss 260 (I have a 2005 XR8 ute with the T56 6speed Box). a great ute. My mate has a XR6T ute with the 4speed auto. I like mine better heres a couple reasons.

1) The six speed (it's the same box for the Turbo and the eight) also Expensive Daewoo use it in the SS and performance vehicles. Although mine started off with a dud which was quickly replaced.

2) The eight there is just something about the eight the sound and ohh yes that bloody bulge it just makes the car.

3) The eight need I say more plus you can always supercharge the 8 even the mild capa superchargers promise about 365 at the fly.

If you're going to get one my advice shop around. I picked mine up for 39500 on road (Ute) with premiun sound. I've seem some places doing the sedans for 45K on road so don't get stung and pay the full 50-55K they're asking for them. Don't do the rustproofing and paint protection (absolute waste of money). They will try and tell you they are the only ones who can provide this service (yeh them and every single other car yard I've been too). I shopped around you can get a full rust+paint package for like $500 which is considerably less than the dealership wanted.

But at the end of the day it comes down to what you want. The Turbo will handle better (Boss is very heavy) 1850kg car vs 1730kg turbo. But stiffer springs will sort out the handling juswt watch out those driveways and speed humps the front over hang is enourmous.
