Zf And Diff Gears

Hey guys.

I'm looking into getting a KAZZ 2 way diff with 4.11 diff gears into my ute.

Im just curious to hear from anyone who has...

- used different diff gears with the ZF?

- what they thought of it.

- what would you recommend?

Also, a re-tune is required when fitting a different diff ratio right?

You wont need a retune mate but I think the gears would be better suited to the 4 speed or 6 speed manual.

I can just give you the LSD minus the gears anyway & you can fit your standard ones. That all depends on whether or not it fits which I'm 99% sure it wont unfortunately

stick with the stock gears for I put in 3.9 and it change everything for it will go into 6th at 60kph and it just gets to much wheel spin. 3.73 is good

Was that in a zf?

4.1's were awesome in my BA with T56...

mate 4.11's in a ZF equipped car will be ridiculous and crap.

their 2.7 ratio STOCK id be looking into something like 3.0's or similar.

going to a 4.11 from a 2.7 will be like changing gears from 5th back to 2nd at 100km's

plus you need a load on the motor to make the turbo spool

Instant burnout material.

Wheelspin will only be more of a problem.

Will kill fuel economy.

Just not worth it.

I've heard 3.45 gears work well with the Boss V8's with the ZF, they are about as high as you want to go with a road car, 3.23's are also good and probably more suited to a turbo that see's highway use, although they don't really need them. Turbos tend not to need low gears.
