Guess anyone who bought a new car would expect the diff to last much longer, just wonder why it should fail on those new cars?Traction control works in tandem with the DSC, it doesn't replace it, and yes, it has an LSD.Press the TC/DSC button once and it turns the TC off, press and hold for 5 seconds and it turns off the DSC. Maybe a supplier change is in order. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/49724-fg-xr6-turbo-diff-noise/page/2/#findComment-757519 Share on other sites

Going through some of the documents came with my new ute, my local Ford dealer actually gives 6 years warranty/175,000 km on all new Ford vehicles sold by them. I am not too worry about the build quality as long as they fix any problem under warranty. Also, all new ute owners, please check tyre pressure on your new ute, mine were inflated at 40 which supposed to be 30 but I adjusted to 33. I had 45 PSI in a new Territory a few years back and surprised not lowered at pre delivery/handover. On my DSC equipped ute, press the button momentarily and nothing happens, hold it for say 2 secs and the "DSC off" displays on the centre display and the orange DSC light stays on the LHS of the cluster. Brand new car and diff replacement in a car only a few weeks old is a joke.So I shouldn't mention the rattle I'm getting from the RH B pillar then... Try putting electrical tape around the striker, if that stops the rattle then adjust/tighten the striker.
