Can it be done with a stock engine and if so how far can they be pushed? Is there a difference between a GT and an XR8 that should mean the GT would be better for it?tWhat kind of kits are out there and how many extra mods, such as fuel and zorst are involved to make it all work?I have been a Expensive Daewoo man for as long as I can remember so I really dont know a great deal about Fords apart from my T of coarse. This is just a dream at the moment so I am actually just after a litle input as to how far one would need to go to have a tough blown 8. I am happy with the power my car makes so its not about that I think I am starting to get the V8 bug. Thanks guys!

The boys at CV performance have had plenty of experience with these set-ups, so maybe shoot them a PM about the details.DBOSS's car got heaps of power pushed through it on the standard engine, with plenty of drag racing thrown at it too. The boss motors really should have been charged from the start anyway!

This seems really low for such a car. Is there anything that the early BA GT's dont have that the later BF's do??

The BF's or Even BA Mk2 are much better value, but the BA's are going really cheap

Forgive my ignorance but these are the questions I never really got to ask when buying my T and it kinda became painful when my T5 let go lol.Is it worth even getting the thing supercharged if im not aiming for massive power (450rwkw).Like I said im pretty happy with how fast my car is now. But can you get to that without being blown...

Most GT's that get an edit with say a cat back exhaust will be around the 270-280rwkw mark. There really isn't that much more you can do to get more power out of the standard engine. If you go for a full exhaust, nice intake etc it might go to around 300rwkw, but I don't think you would get much more. You can throw a 100hp shot of Nos at it and get a nice 50-60rwkw jump in some cases, but its expensive to run that all the time!If you wanna go to 400+ you need to supercharge IMO, and not a small system either. You need an intercooled set-up with a good chunk of boost (for a blower anyway) to get near 450. This is where it starts to get expensive. The one bonus for the BA's is that the V8 5spd manual is much tougher than the 6cyl T5. It all comes down to what you want to spend really!
