I pposted this b4 but it didnt end up here for some reason..... I just bought maxxis maz4's from bob jane for $289.... great price and made for the wet!! its a new tyre by them or so I was told... after driving in the rain the past few days, I must say they are excellent!!

If you want the best (no comprimises), and are willing to pay for it get the Michelin Pilot Sport 2's @ about $600 a corner.

There is absolutely no difference wet to dry, and I have no hesitation pushing them beyond belief in any conditions :stirthepot:

Failing that, the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2's are a bit cheaper and provide top notch wet/dry performance. Much better than any dunlop, pirelli (non semi slick) and Yokohama.

I have a set of federal 595rs-r on the back end & I come from the wettest place in the country. there not like what I thought a semi slick would be like in the wet. if your reasonable & dont ask too much of them there fine (smashing it on boost) youd never know they were any different. bonus is if you nail it in the dry with abit of heat in them you get awesome traction. but you do have to be abit careful when givin it some when its abit greasy but no difference in any car with any power. the thing is your not always gonna be drivin in wet weather.
