the sound your describing sounds like pinging

whats fuel like up there ,try a tank of premium and some octane booster ,see if that helps

if it keeps up you may have a bad sensor in the car ,ie knock sensor etc

also get the coils checked

Thanks mate... Fuel up here is quite good I would think. I've been using 98RON for a few weeks now, so you'd think all the sh*t stuff has been used up. Plus I've got a new fuel filter on.

I heard it while driving this morning, and its definitely a fluttering noise while under load. Could it be my stock BOV stuffed? Its definitely a soft fluttering, not a loud ticking. Got me stumped.

Think I might buy a set of proper sparkies and some new coils. See how that goes.

No worries will do. Where on the turbo are they? on the bottom or side?

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

the one on the turbo is directly underneath the air intake pipe

Thanks I'll take off all the tubes and have a good look on the weekend. Thanks again mate. Much appreciated

Will do.. First thing I'm going to check are the turbo fins and whether there is any play... that's what I'm scared of.

I hate the sound of the standard injectors, they sound sooo noisy, both when hot or cold. Are there any quiet injectors out there?

Hmmm well I've noticed today that it does seem to go away after driving around for a while.

My normal use is 5-10 min trips to and from work every day and that's it.

Yesterday and today I drove around for longer than this, and it didn't seem to flutter as much, if at all, under load.
