July 1, 200818 yr #1 I have just bought a ba xr6t that has had a 6 speed manual box conversion, the diff gears were changed to match the box and I THINK it has a stage 3 mal wood clutch in it. The problem is, when the car warms up and is in neutral it sounds like the throw out bearing is gone. Is this normal for this clutch or am I up for a bearing change?? also it doesnt seem to make the noise when the car is cold. I dont know much about clutches etc. so any advice is appreciated. thanks
July 1, 200818 yr #2 just standard 6 speed rollover noise, does it disappear when you put the clutch in ????? Easy fix is drain the oil and put 4.5 litres of transmax Z in it, it helped mine out..
July 1, 200818 yr #3 Dont worry mate. When the oil in them thins out they make noise. Get come castrol Tranzmax as stealthxr suggested and it should help. It will also make the box shift better too
