The 235's have a sidewall aspect ratio of 45, 45% of the width of 235mm, so there will be no issues of fouling guards. What profile tyres have your currently got? Your car is still standard ride height yeah?

Apparently a new container load of RS-R's should have arrived in Brisbane this week just gone according to Federal Australia.

Well they will fit exactly the same as what you have now. No dramas there at all.

The stock should be ready for sale provided the boat got there as they said. Wouldnt hurt to make a phone call to Cairns Tyre Specialists also just to compare prices once your local bloke comes up with a figure.

that's Nicks mate with the Blue Starlet!!! hahahaha

265/35/R18's were $368ea but I dont think that included freight. Most cases its about $25 per tyre for freight. The 235/40/R18's were like $5 cheaper.

Yeah I would expect the 17 to cheaper for sure. I rang Federal and they said Cairns Tyre Specialist and Jax Qik Fit were common distributors up here.

will try both & see how they compare for price. but if theres not a huge diff between them & the local bloke I'll just buy local, easier than payin more freight & havin the car away for another day.

omg... if I saw that you tube ad before buying these, I probably would have NOT bought them... there is so much wrong with that ad its not funny!!!

just remember you need to warm them up before you give em a hard time or they will spin up just as easy as the dunlops and wear out that precious rubber...

john, if you want some ripcurl 18in rims before spending up on the tyres give us a yell, I may wish to part with them as ive been eyeballing some new rims me self :spoton:
