Hi all,

I just had my auto rebuilt and wanted to make sure that the shift parameters were right as the gearbox builder didnt think they were quite right. I dont want to change the rest of my tune just the shifts both from a money point of view and im also happy with the tune.

Can this be done or do I need to try and get the file from my original tuner?

I'm not completely up to speed on the new tuning software, but I believe that if the tuner you want to now use has the Sniper software then it is possible to extract the tune from the car and modify that.

Yes you are 100 percent correct Adam, I have played with sniper and it's possible. The only problem is you have to purchase a bullet which will cost like 300 odd dollars. Then there is the tuners time to change the auto settings via sniper. Would work out cheaper to go back to your original tuner and get them to change the tunes auto shifts.

Bullet is a software protocol that allows you to read, and tune a PCM. One bullet is assigned to each car. So you need to purchase the bullet for your tune to be manipulated. Of course the tuner could take the info and transfer it to edit, but that wont be a cheap exercise either.

Not the best solution.

Ideally they need to drive it.

I'll ring the tuner and see if the post option can be done... Im not opposed to spending money on just dont want to pay the extra cash for the full tune when only a small part needs to be modified...
