Im on the lookout for some 17in rims to fit some M/T's to. I dont want to spend the earth for rims that will hardly get used.

This dude on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DAMAGED-BA-XR6-8-Ri...1QQcmdZViewItem

Has 4 rims that he says there buckled. Would these even be repairable? Are there companies that do repair these? Im guessing it mite not be worth it in the long run?

Sounds like the dude already looked around for a repairer and he probably got the no-can-do reply. I'd be wary.

But, for only $50, you can make a coffee table out of them, or something.

They are definitely fixable. I had one of mine fixed (not a big damage) but I've seen some very bad ones come out as new. It just depends if it's worth fixing them, might be more expensive then finding 4 good ones.

They don't look too bad, and if you need only 2 maybe it wouldn't cost you too much. Just find a wheel fixing shop near you and give them a call and see what it costs to fix dented/buckled rims. I know a guy in Sydney that does a good job.

Good to see there was some interest in the buckled rims. They did not sell, so are off to the scrap metal yard soon. The person I got them from forgot to mention that they were damaged, so I paid for freight from NSW to N.T, went to have rubber put on just to find out they were buckled/warped.
