Disappointed

I was driving my XR6T up to some lights last night when a black SS ute (I think maybe a 2006 model, whatever that is) drove up next to me, pulled in front, then pulled back a bit. The lights just happened to change to orange, then red, and we came to a stop. While we were waiting, this guy in the Expensive Daewoo ute was rocking back and forth next to me, chomping at the bit for the green light. It changed, and we were off!

For the first half a second he was half a car length ahead of me, then the turbo kicked in and he disappeared from my passenger side window. I focused on the road ahead of me, getting up to the speed limit before I looked in the rear vision window to see him about 200 yards behind.

What I'm disappointed about is these guys that want to play, and then when they realise they're not going to win, they pretend they weren't going to play at all. It happens to me a lot.

Cowards.

The only time I've got a good run from someone was when they were also in a BF2 XR6T, although they didn't realise it when we started. Judging by the surprise on their face as we were neck and neck reaching the speed limit, they must've thought I was in a NA XR6...

Holdens. All I see of them is their headlights through the dust cloud I leave behind. Very disappointing. I want a real challenge!

Last time I checked street racing was illegal? Perhaps the SS driver remembered that at the last second?

The Expensive Daewoo drivers, if they don't drop out like they did with you, they usually do the loser driveby where when you have caned them and pulled out, they keep the foot flat and continue to overtake as if to say I'm winning now. Bunch of tossers.

I used to love it years back before the XR6T in my eb XR6 which was mildly worked. As commonwhores have that tall first gear, it gives them a good start to keep neck and neck, but as soon as they hit second, it dies in the a** where I still had another 1500 revs in first to go.

I call it assertive acceleration up to the speed limit. :-)

Yeh, he did that a short while later. It's not a win when you have to break the speed limit to overtake after it's all over. They don't seem to get that though.
