09/04/08 12:13 PM09/04/08 12:13 PM #1 Just got the TT back from tuning and reeled in 251kw at the wheels. Anyone know what this would approximately work out at the flywheel?
09/04/08 12:18 PM09/04/08 12:18 PM #2 I THINK its about a 40% loss....edit: gain depending which way you look at it...
09/04/08 09:26 PM09/04/08 09:26 PM #4 Author I think its about 335fwkw? I could be wrong...I like Dags figures, as a 40% loss would mean it was 418fwkw, which is super dooper. I thought the magic figure was between 23%-30%, which takes it to 325fwkw - 358fwkw. I don't know why this number jumps to mind, but back in my VLT days that was the figure that was used.I'm officially running with Purvies number of 335fwkw, as he couldn't possibly be wrong. Thanks guys.
09/04/08 10:02 PM09/04/08 10:02 PM #5 on a stock t the loss seems to be around 25% ie 190rwkw * 1.25 = 237 fwkwbut at four wheels you would lose more so probably closer to dags figure

I thought it would go the other way. Ie. losing more power through a RWD than an AWD. That muddies up the water a little bit more. Surely the stock injectors wouldn't sustain 400+ fwkw?
09/04/08 10:53 PM09/04/08 10:53 PM #7 I gather they did a run on the dyno with the stock tune first, what kw's did that put out at the wheels.

10/04/08 01:50 AM10/04/08 01:50 AM #9 Mate sounds like a very high reading dyno as the norm we have seen is around 155 awklw and modded WITH injectors about 250-265CV PERFORMANCE
10/04/08 02:01 AM10/04/08 02:01 AM #10 so goin by cv figures that would mean the terry loses some where between 30-40% between the motor and wheels
