Hey Guys,

Over the weekend I noticed that I have a light flashing in my cluster. It a picture of a red hand with a black car in the middle of it. I consulted the book and it said it was the security light for the immobiliser.

It only flashes when the car is turned off. If I go to accessories or turn the car on, the light disappears. Everything is fine in regards to operation of the car, but this light is now flashing when the car is off.

Does it always flash? I have never noticed it before last weekend so I figure it has only just started doing it. Nothing out of the ordinary happened I just noticed it when I pulled up on Saturday? Have I been taking too many drugs....or is this an issue???

I think that it might have something to do with the location of the key doesnt it - ie if in the ignition - might flash?

I have noticed this on sometimes, and off others - thought it might be the key location as there is a sensor ring around the lock.

I tried it with the key in the ignition but the car off and it was still flashing.

Also got out of the car, with the keys and looked in the window and it was flashing also
