Brake Upgrade In Newcastle

Featured Replies

I'm wanting to upgrade my brakes, but not too sure if fitting DBA 4000 rotors and better pads on the standard 287 mm caliper is a waste of time.

I never do track days just wanted someting that wouldn't warp or feel as crappy as they are now

Can anyone recommend someone near Newcastle

Cheers Tim

rotors and pads will make a big difference mate - take a look through the brake sub forum and you will find some really helpful tips, you can get DBA rotors and a selection of pads from any Repco and Autobarn stores nationwide too

I haven't read anywhere about the deference between my stock 287mm front to the stock 330 fronts.

Would it be worth me upgrading the fronts to 330 PBR or equivalent with the DBA 4000/5000 instead of the rotors on their own in the 287mm

if you go up to the bigger discs, you will need different brackets for the calipers I beleive.

Alternatively, for around $2000, you can get the PBR upgrade kit that gives you F&R Discs, calipers, pads and Braided lines. They are the same as the BA FPV brakes and are very effective, I have this kit and love it, the pedal feel is worth it alone!
