Ford Warranty - Help Please

Hi Guys,

I've had my BF-T ute for about 10 months now and ever since I bought it the front end had a knock in it.

Basically slow driving, reverse parking etc. (It's been covered in other posts)

In the space of 10 months I have been to Jefferson Ford in Mentone 3 times to fix it.

I gave up on them and as of late last year I took it to New Oak Ford in Oakleigh.

In two weeks time I will have been to New Oak ford a third time again on this SINGLE warranty item.

Summed up...I will have been to Ford 6 times regarding this one problem! :leghump:

All possible things have been done (apparently)

- Joints lubed

- The shim has already been done.

- The entire front end has been losened off and re-tensioned up again (one bloke with a ute said that fixed his problem) - But not mine.

- And a list of other things I cant remember off the top of my head to be honest.

WHAT DO I DO?

My ute was supposed to be a promotional car for my business... Ive got a set of BIG rims which cant go on yet obviously coz then I'll get the big WARRANTY VOID Stamp. I'm getting so frustrated with these guys, basically I'm asking what do I do from here?

Do I need to involve a lawyer?

Talk to the right person?

The steering rack knock can be a tricky one to fix. My dealer had a couple of goes at it before getting it right on my BA. I think in the end they put some anti-seize on the shims and it fixed it.

Ahhyea, whats the anti-seize?

I'm considering taking it to a suspension shop and sending the bill to ford.

It's basically a grease. Wurth CU800 or something similar.

Ahyea, lol.. I'll try that with trip number 7 lol.

New Oak Ford reckon that it might be the ball joints... (its going back in a couple weeks) But I'm not expecting much.

It sounds like they have no idea and are just running around the car til I FCK OFF

send em the bill.

Go see the dealer principle & tell him that you are a young guy who has plenty of years of buying cars ahead... ".. I just don't want to be turned off a brand by poor service"

*BANG* fixed next day.

Trust me, get the head guy at the dealership involved.. it works all the time.

Mate, Kick upa stink. I had a water leak in my drivers side. Took it back 4 times. On the 4th time I went mentally at the manager and said I want a load car, either the same XR6T or better, not some dog box fiesta/focus. I got a FPV GT for 3 days till they fixed my car properly.

Don't take their crap. If you get it fixed from someone else, you will have so much trouble to get ford to pay for it, unless thye agree before hand.

Yehhh, its getting pretty dediculous thus far.. So much for a brand new car ey.

I like SCRIBR's idea... might have to make a few phone calls. :cleanhouse:

I put up with a very similar BS problem and it went into ford 7 times and never got fixed. I listened to some ppl on here and fixed the probelm my self for a few bucks on some grease. Ford would tell me that they have pulled the hole thing apart and lubed everything they could think of, but they hadnt done a thing all 7 times.

Consider a formal complaint to the Dept of Fair trading or similar in your state.

ive seen so many posts on warranty issues... I myself have taken the car in once before to find they didnt do a thing to fix the problem. Taking it back next week with this list

1. Rattle coming through gear stick (abnoxious noise)

2. Driver side window rattles

3. Left front door funny noise when closing it

4. Light knocking noise from bottom rear of car over bumps!

JESUS!!!!!!

car is 2months old I just want to enjoy it!
