The Teins are definitely the way to go ...

I had Bilsteins in mine for a couple years and the ride was more on the firmer side with the off the shelf valving. The car felt nervous and jittery on bumpy corners.

I have had Konis in another car and they are also on the harsh stiff side.

The Teins with the electronic damp controller provide an excellent street and track package. Cruise down the freeway at high speeds and the harder setting feels nice and sure on the road. Cruise down Parramatta Rd Sydney, hit the preset and set all corners to full soft, nice and comfortable. My set are custom valved and feel great on the road and track. The 1.53 60' time was done on the Teins, no 90/10 shocks!! Tunehouse fitted my custom valved dampers and have been fitting them to XRs for a while now.

Apart from bump and rebound the height setup on each corner plays a very important role in keeping the car straight. I have done 200+ metre burnouts in top gear (on a private roads of coarse with ) and left two very straight lines.

Brians (BCLs) monster has the same setup and he is more than confident in turning the tyres (600+rwkw) at high speed as he has been doing at WSID.

After good brakes the suspension is the second most important mod to high powered cars.
