Uv Protection For The Interior

Well I find my T constantly parked in the sun with it glaring straight onto my dash and seats......

There is no shade where I park so I don't have the undercover option.

What is the best thing to use to stop the suns harmful rays??? I couldn't stand my interior ageing early or cracking.

Whats the best stuff to use for UV protection on all the plastic vinyl and leather seats ???????

Tinting and a windscreen cover.

I have a reflective interior windscreen shield and park my black car outside all day.

The difference in the heat with it on vs off is considerable.

I also leave my windows down a crack to allow some ventalation.

Other than that a car cover will also help.

For the leather seats you need to make sure whatever you use has a conditioning agent in it. Rather than buying a leather "cleaner", you need a leather "conditioner". A bit of Meguires Leather Foam should see you on the right track. Same kind of deal for the dash. There are a few conditioning agents out there for that one. Best bet is to read the back of some different brands and see which ones protect and not just clean.

Aerospace 303, comes in a white spray bottle, can be bought from autobarn.

Read up about it in US car detailing site: "Autopia"

its like spf 40+ for your plastics + rubber seals etc.

P.S dont use Meguires Leather wipes or Conditioner cream on your seats, especially if you have the BA leather with small perforated holes, they fill up with the white gunk.

I use meguires everything, bar these 2 products....I have a bottle of the cream, used once if your interested.

try Zaino Bro's Z9 leather cleaner and z10 leather in a bottle conditioner

Its about $20, lasts a long time as you dont need much and the protection lasts around 1-2 months.

most autobarns should stock it, ring first if the closest store is a fair hike away

U definitely need to get a silver windscreen shade!!!!!

Also look into getting your windows tinted.
