AceofSpades Boostaholics anonymous Member 202 Member For: 18y 10m 18d Gender: Male Location: Broady Posted 10/01/08 11:34 AM Share Posted 10/01/08 11:34 AM Latley this has been getting worse.When I pull up and get out of the car there is a fuel smell around the car, but I cannot find any fuel leaks or weeps.it has been getting to the point that when I ge home from work ( 45 miniute drive with a 5 miniute pull up a hill on boost a bit ) it is starting to become noticable from the cabin.Is there anywhere I can look? or is there a breather somewhere causing this?in hte heat the other day also the bugger would start to load up to come on boost then it was like the ecu just cut the throttle.step off and back on and it was fine until I squeezed it enough to try for boost again, same thing.but its not doing it now?I thought there might be a safe guard in the ecu regarding ambient air temp but its been hot again and its not done it? GreenXR6T Donating Members 630 Member For: 19y 9m 26d Gender: Male Location: NSW Posted 10/01/08 12:10 PM Share Posted 10/01/08 12:10 PM There is a breather from the tank to the inlet plenum.It is on the dipstick side tee'd in with another breather hose from the rocker cover, under the throttle body.Follow the line back to the firewall and there is a small valve it joins near the inner guard. They dont have clamps on them so it's possible they've come loose/undone.Does your fuel cap seal properly?
