I just flashed my ute with a KPM CAPA box that ive had sitting in my room since August....

I flashed the 8psi tune, but on the road it would only make 5psi boost.

I flashed the 10psi tune, and my ute wouldnt start. No fault codes, though I noticed a red hand symbol on the dash stays lit. When the key is turned to start and held, it just goes click click click click click

So I tried to reflash back to the 8psi tune, with the same results, no fault codes, red hand symbol staying lit. And click click click click click when the key is held to start.

Luckily I was able to flash back to stock and the ute starts now.... I tried to flash it back again from stock but still the same fault.

So it would sound like the CAPA box is stuffed?????

Any ideas?

Ill email KPM and see what they think. Do these boxs have warranty on them?

I followed the instructions.

Key off, plug lead into box, plug lead into OBD-II connector

Select P2 or P3, then hold down program button.

All lights flash.

Turn key to ON.

Lights start flashing and carrying on. Then after bout 2 mins all lights light up and stop flashing. Then goes to the P2 or P3 light being lit. And the green power LED flashing.

The Red hand symbol on the dash stays on.

Turn key off. Unlplug from OBD-II.

Try to start. Click click click click click click is all I get.

I know the first time I did mine, you have to let it upload the factory tune to the box, then it uploads the new tune to your car, try it again, and just leave it when the first run of flashy lights finishes, it might start again

someone confirm this, I might be dreaming...

Well when I first plugged it in for the 1st time ever, I ran the 8psi tune. After loading that, the car started but wouldnt make 8psi boost. So I tried the 10psi tune. that's when the issues started. The ute wouldnt start after loading the 10psi tune? Now both 8 and 10psi tunes dont work. Only the factory tune????

Nah well I tried it heaps of times last nite,

Flashed the 8psi for the first ever time, ute started.

Flashed the 10psi no start.

Flashed the 8psi again, no start.

Flashed back to stock, ute started.

Flashed 10psi, no start

Flashed stock, ute started

Flashed 8psi no start.

Flashed stock, ute started.

No worries mate, ive emailed KPM and CAPA to see if they can help out.

They put the wrong processor codes in with the tunes send it back and get them to change them or get a custom tune. The generics are risky and could cosrt you alot more than a custom tune!
