Engine Numbers

I have two blocks sitting at home but can't find any engine numbers on them.

One is a ba and one is a bf both have only got raised part numbers on them.

So do they have engine numbers stamped in them?

If so where?

can't remember where, but look for a Engine number that start with "JGSW" if its from a sedan, "JGAT" if its from a territory, "JGCM" if its from a ute" and "JGWA" if its from a wagon.

All 6cyl falcons have a VIN that starts with "6FPAAA", the 6cyl falcs engine numbers are the same as the VIN minus the "6FPAAA"

The only other stamped numbers on the block are the bearing size stamps 2222222!

They are at the rear of the block on the RHS near the bell housing where it meets the block .

No numbers there either on both blocks.

So do they not do them anymore?

According to Fords Workshop CD it should be here. But, I can not see it on my car.

LOOKS LIKE IF PEOPLE DO AN ENGINE SWAP THE NEXT BUYER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TELL/CHECK ON STOLEN ENGINES ETC.

did you check both sides of the block, cos the picture shows you should look on the drivers side

I would've taken stealthxr's instructions as the passenger side, I don't know why...

CHECKED EVERY SIDE FRONT BACK UNDERNEATH TOP NOTHING AT ALL ON BOTH BLOCKS.
