Have tweeters in the pillars? 03 XR6T. Has a 6 disc ICC. Just curious if this model would have tweeters in the pillars.

If so can any aftermarket tweeter fit in there?

What size are the door speakers?

What size are the rear pillar speakers?

I had a 05 ute with tweeter grills , but when I took the the panel off = no tweeter. Bought a set of component speakers -tweeter fit in fine with little modification. Sorry can't remember the size.

Its not premo sound or anything. So ill have to have a look see if they are in there.... Can the grill just come off or does the entire pillar trim need to come off?

If you don't have Premium sound then probably won't have tweeters. I have "Premium" and did get the tweeters. The little grill pops out no problem, just the little tabs holding it in, use a soft tool, though to avoid marking the plastic.

The front and rear speakers are 5x7, same as the sedans.

also remember, if you have a BA ute, you will have "prestige" sound, not premium sound

So I wonder if "prestige sound" has tweeters...? It has a 6 disc ICC....

There is a tweeter in there. I removed the pillar trim, and it can stay in there for all I care.... Its in the worst spot to try and remove if I wanted to upgrade. Not sure how its attached, but the bracket it sits on is rivited to the pillar.....

It's easy to remove once you take the whole A pillar trim off. Just take the door seal off in that area and pop it off.

Then you just drill the rivet out.

Yeah well I had the entire trim piece off. Is it only 1 rivet that holds it in place? How do you go about mounting a new tweeter?
