September 9, 200719 yr #11 stuff iTunes. I got an 8 gig iriver (X20) and its great. battery lasts ages, video plays well on the screen (320x240 at 30fps). my only complaint is its tricky for me (at the moment) to find a song as I have about 2000 random top50 songs in one folder - so that's my fault
September 9, 200719 yr #13 Irivers are great but go the IPOD mate, itunes is a so easy to use its not funny, and to get free music download imesh and then just drag the songs you downloaded from that to itunes easy.Plus if you get an IPOD I already have a sh!t load of song you can have, all you need to do is plug into my itunes and bang its all yours.
September 10, 200719 yr #14 Author Cheers greeny, true mate letting me steal all your songs lol. Im goin to an apple store today or tomorrow.mbjunior99 - I have used the itouch and yes they are awsome, but the guy at the store said they only come in 8 or 16gig.
September 10, 200719 yr #15 Come on Charlie, going by the conversation we had yesterday I would think you got better things to do in the states than listen to music
September 10, 200719 yr #16 Author Lol, my trip is commin to a end now mate, I leave here on wednesday and arrive back home on friday, so just looking at getting one b4 I leave. Plus mayb I need to just lay down by the pool and listen to some music, after all im kinda worn out now
September 10, 200719 yr #17 Well look the only music you should be listening to is the cheesy 70's music that is often played in certain low production yet exciting films Edited September 10, 200719 yr by Fatsex
September 11, 200719 yr #18 I was an iSheep and bought a 30 gig ipod video, mainly for the storage size and the fact they seemed to be the thing to buy, and sounded easy to use.I think if I were to get another mp3 player I'd probably go an iRiver or something else, mainly due to the fact that the iPod lacks the most basic features you'd expect in an mp3 player like GETTING YOUR MUSIC OFF THE IPOD AND BACK ONTO THE COMPUTER!!!! Even once you have your music on it, deleting a single song requires deleting the song in the playlist in iTunes, then resyncing it, while tapping your nose with your left finger and rubbing your belly counter-clockwise. It would have been nice to have a simple drag and drop interface to load music onto it, but such is life. It would also be nice if apple didn't delete features from the iPod when you update it with new firmware. It seems apple is rather concerned about appeasing the recording industry by severely restricting the ability to copy/share pirated music (fair enough) but at the detriment of basic user features that the actual customers of the ipod should be entitled do.Having said all that, you can get around most of the pitfalls using a different program to iTunes (which I'd avoid if at all possible) such as EphPod (free) which allows a lot more functionality.I know I may have contradicted myself a few times, but these are the good and bad sides that I've found
