Help - I Think I've Blown Up My Icc

I'm so angry with myself right now, I made a stupid mistake and I think it may have taken out my premium ICC :mexicanwave:

I was installing a RGB converter and some how, despite checking twice, I managed to wire up power plug to it with the tip negative instead of positive. As a result I'd say +12v has gone through the RGB circuit and into the negative/ground connection of the ICC aux in.

The ICC is not responding to buttons, there's no screen and the fans are going crazy - flat out, slow, inbetween, all by themselves.

I checked all the ICC fuses (3 I think?) but none are blown.

I'll give ford a call tomorrow but in the mean time has anyone got any suggestions ?

I pray that there's a cheaper solution other than having to replace the whole thing. Any other non-obvious things I can check ?

I only got the car a few weeks back, my wife is going to KILL me :buttonit:

Sh*t dude! does not sound good at all. I was going to say check all the fuses but you've already done that :( I hope its something easy to fix

The one from this thread here

My reverse lights still work and so does the cd player. The volume knob only works sometimes but all the controls on the steering wheel still work fine. If it wasn't for the fans going crazy I could probably live with it for a while but they're really annoying!

I just spoke to ASL and it looks like I have to replace the whole lot so I'm up for $1300 :bopp::censored::censored::censored:

What part of the car is the VIN info usually kept in ? This won't screw with my edit will it ?

Remove your edit before you go into Ford and you should be fine. 12v across a 7v circuit usually causes massisve hemoraging.

I just ordered a whole new ICC. Ouch, that was an expensive lesson :spit:

I don't need to go to ford though so that's a good thing, and there wont be any issues with my edit.

nasty , hope things went better with the minister for finance and war :pooh::spit:
