I have a 04 BA mk1 and over the last week or so its started to rattle, I have narrowed it down to somewhere in the front left hand side. I also have noticed that it only happens when youre not on the brakes, if you braking and hit a little but no rattle, but if your not on the brakes it sounds like the suspension is loose or something.

any ideas??

I know some had issues with front lower control arms that needed shimming. This could be the rattle you are hearing.

what did yours sound like?? took it to pedders and they seem to think every thing is ok (nothing going to fall off) but the rattle is still there and they are not sure but seem to think it something in the brakes/rotors/hub.
