After jealously looking over the many shiny new boats cruising past and my mate’s Lewis eclipse I soon decided that once I return I would start to look into buying one of these beautiful machines. I have looked at the Malibu’s, lewis, xfactor, supra and maxis. There is no way I can decide what one to purchase so any advice from you guys would be appreciated this boat will only be used in freshwater and used mainly for towing. Thanks in advance for your responses. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/34029-easter-envy/ Share on other sites

Many things to consider here and the main one is how often do you get out to the Murray or other waterways? It's all fun and games buying a boat but the novelty wears off. It's not like our cars that are either daily commuters or weekend warriors. There's roads everywhere and our cars be driven on them. But boats have limitations (you may have guessed this already ) and time restraints prevent us from going anywhere near the water for months.I'm not trying to persuade you from the joys of boating but have a think before you jump in head first (no pun intended) and buy something that you may possibly only use once a year. It can be an expensive hobby to maintain especially when you price in rego, safety gear and maintenence.PS: It's always a joy when it's someone elses boat..
