I have been looking into these a bit, apparently the tuners in Germany recon the current cars are under rated, and that they are in fact already 326hp (245kw) standard. Many of them are running 0-60mph in about 4.8sec stock. One of these things with a procede (like xede from what I can gather) and exhaust has 350rwhp (263rwkw) which they are running mid 12s with (on 275 ps2's). Apparently the stock turbo's are to small to go above 12psi but.

Sorry, this is a another poor engine for the road by BMW. Just like the V10 it's derived from in the M5, it's a rev monster with almost no real world torque.

Audi RS4 is better looking, has more torque across the board, 4wd and still weighs less and revs as high.

Who are you kidding? You must not have driven an M3 or an M5 if you think they arent suitable for the roads. that's the same kind of rubbish attitude of those idiots who say "why would you need 240kw....you cant use it on the roads".

I use it all day every day. And I have driven M3's and M5's and saying they are rev monsters and no real torque...well you should line your 4 litre turbo up against a naturally aspirated 3.2 litre M3 or even the old 1983 M5 and tell me they arent good on the roads.

You dont seem to know much about BMW engines. By saying that crap about the M3, do you even know that you rubbished what is THE sweetest 6 cylinder engine in the world? I dont know a single car expert who would disagree about that. In fact do you also know that behind the M3 engine, the XR6 Turbo engine is the most high-tech 6 cylinder engine available in Australia?

And how about the M5? Its won basically every world wide engine prize in the world since its V10 was released - several years in a row, and you reckon its no good? Its a frightening engine with massive power, an insane ability to rev, and 373kW of simply awesome power.

And the new M3 engine is effectively the V10 with 2 cylinders chopped off. I will bet you this much: it will be one of the worlds best engines today. There is not a doubt in my mind that it will be as it simply has to be to better the existing 6 cylinder.

What you wrote is a joke. The only conclusion I can draw is you simply dont know what you are talking about when talking about M engines. There is not a single proper M engine that has not been best in class on a world level.

Now go and re-read what engine Evil F6 was referring to - the V8, not the straight 6. The rest of your post is just a rant with no references.
