well then u really need a new boss for another year then u can be your own boss after that. I m lucky that I don't have to go thru apprenticeship to get my trade license. All I need is 2 year experience that I worked for some1 then go to master builder and apply for my plastering license. :tease:

So Russ you are a builder to or just a plasterer?

I have a mate who is doing a refurb and might be looking for some ATO exempt tradies.

He also needs someone who does house rendering.

Heh, the "unhealthy factor " is him and the way he goes about things...  he causes me a lot of stress which leads to me getting in fist fights and puttings my fist through windscreens.

and he makes u punch things how?

its called "self control".....

True, that is something I am lacking... got fired from my last job because of it, but I've been real good until the last few months.

anyways, mast of your own destiny and all that, so that's why I'm getting out.

Just from the looks of it, I can see that you have been frustrated with the last 2 jobs you have been in. Perhaps its a case of people pushing your buttons because they know they can, and how you are reacting to the situation obviously aint helping the issue. Ask yourself the question, if you did switch to another employer, who is to say that you will find yourself in a better position. You might be worse off.

Its nice to see another drywaller in a T Ute. I prefer to call myself an interior drywall technician  . I learnt the old school way. 10 years of weekends with the oldman since I was 13. Didn't need to go anywhere. My own boss straight away  . I"ve go to get out and meet some of you blokes. Hope there is a cruise on soon

I work for a company, there all the same so I go with whomever has the most consistent work. I"ve worked for D.A.M , brisbane plaster company, centenary plastering. I"ve gotta go for my BSA license. Its a rip but then some people might not employ you if you don't have one. Plus its a safety cushion as well for the tradie(me) but if you have gone through TAFE or whatever then you get the license on completion of your apprentiship....I think.
