After the response I got from my last post about have my injectors cleaned and the effect that this might have on fuel ecnomy, I ended up purchasing a new oxygen sensor instead. I'm hoping that replacing this sensor will help to bring my fuel usage figures into line....

What I'm now wondering though; is there anything special that I need to do when fitting the new O2 sensor, or do I simply remove the old oneand connect the new one?

just want to aviod the engine going bang if I can help it, so any input would be appreciated....

Simple, unscrew old one, and fit new

Thread should be pre-greased with an anti seize, but if you decide to apply any yourself, be extremely careful not to get it anywhere except for the thread.
