February 22, 200719 yr #1 G'day all,Just reading through BCLs nizpro stage 2 install on his F6 thread, and finally saw a picture of the X-Force twin 2.5inch exhaust. (thanks BCL)Judging by the pictures it looks a similar shape to the stock system. So does anyone know if the Xforce Dump/Cat/Transition Pipe, will bolt up to the existing system? Thanks,MaccA
March 8, 200719 yr #3 You wouldnt expect it to, but it wont be hard for an exhaust shop to weld up some flanges for you and fit it up
March 8, 200719 yr #5 Yes it will bolt straight up to the flangeI had the front half done dump, cat and intermediate bolt up to the stock rear section before I went for the full system
March 9, 200719 yr #6 Author sweet as, thanks. was just curious.think id probably just go the whole system though.is there much difference in price between this and a full system? Are the stock pipes only 2.25?MaccA
March 9, 200719 yr #8 I measured the stock pipes as 2 1/8" ID, the x-force as 2 3/8" ID.Normally quoted figures are OD.I don't know about the centre muffler, but the rear muffler on my F6 is a straight though muffler, so my guess is that using a upgraded dump and cat would work quite well with a stock mid and rear section (I'd guess up to 350rwkw)... assuming the stock centre muffler is straight through .... someone could confirm this.If you wanted a cheaper solution it sounds feasible. This is a gut feel, and some testing could verify it.Brian
March 11, 200719 yr #10 3inch... its a pretty good pipe compared to alot of standard dumps, the wastegate transion isn't the best though.the centre muffler drops down in diameter to under 2in, its quite restrictive
