Capa Flash Tuner

Just wondering, can a flash tuner be bought from an auto store, like supercheap auto or something......or is this only sold by dealers as listed on CAPA's website?

Not sure about auto stores but I know that they are on ebay now and again.

they need to be purchased from a capa dealer new as they come blank from capa so the blank box can go on an xr8 xr6 or other car fitted with the ford computer.

they can be purchased second hand on ebay or other but the car it was from must be flashed back to stock and even then they are vin locked to the origonal car.

so u will need to get the second hand box unlocked to your cars vin.

if you get a blank box new u will need to get it programmed and vinlocked to your car.

I was talking to CAPA before I bought my Xcal2 and I asked about the Strategy Flash Device as I was unsure of the difference. I was told that the SF device had a larger memory and came with tunes for a range of vehicles and was aimed at being sold in auto stores as mentioned above. So maybe in the near future this may happen?
