Throttle And Idle Problem

Just for clarification, if my comments were interpreted as meaning the problem was with the piggyback, that is not the case. Just my own observation about the rough running on initial start up was that in my case I only ever had that problem when I had an RDP fitted. I did have the stalling issue, etc after removing the RDP and using edit, but that was a throttle body problem (stepper motor control).

This is the throttle body I have been running rdp system for 2 years and it has not caused any idle issues to do with the throttle body.

If you really knew how they were set up you would know the rdp and any other piggy back computor does not have any control of the throttle body.

PS I might add that this also happens with edited cars.

Correct Ian, in both the T and the Phoon a thorough TB clean was required at ~ 30000ks. One car UniChimp, one car edit

If I start the car and I'm in a hurry to get away and I put it into reverse while it's still idling quite high, I will quite often have the TPS light come on and have those idling issues (resolved, as you said, by restarting the car).

That is exactly what and when it happens with me. with the TPS.
