Good Year F1 Tires

I am running F1 GS-D3s in a 235/40/18 configuration and have no complaints at all - good ride, grippy in the wet and dry (quite grippy enough for me anyway, but I'm not a very aggressive driver), quiet, etc.

BTW, $270 for a 245/35/19 is an INCREDIBLY good price! How are you getting them so cheap? Mine set me back $350 a pop.

For 17's I paid $229 each fitted and it was at good ol' K-Mart. They had the best prices by a long shot in Cairns and they also gave me vouchers for 30c/ltr off fuel so on an average fill that's another $15-20 off. I found them much more helpful than the bigger tyre dealers and fitted me in with almost no notice.

They also quoted me $70 to flush and refill the cooling system. The Ford dealer wanted $140. Hmmm..mmmm

I have only arrived recently in Cairns and I am not real happy with the service department. I'm just about to fill out their feedback form and I'll be telling them. I thought they were pretty average in Darwin but these guys are worse overall. One of the mechanics who sorted out my electrical problem I can only say good things about but the others in the front of the service department especially........not impressed at all. I got charged for a "warranty" job because they could not find the problem. It appeared a few days later and they fixed it under warranty. No refund. They were told about a clunking rear end and could not fix it. I went in for a service the other day and I said the rear end was still clunking. I got a big grin and was told "Oh well, that's one of those things." I hope he gets the same response when he sees his doctor one day

Took the wife's car to Ultratune, and guess what? They were worse then the Ford dealer!!! Gawd. Have tried a place called K.W Auto and they were good. Will get them to do a few things on the T.
