Good Year F1 Tires

I am about to put some tyres on and I can get the goodyear f1s for 270 a corner in 245 35 19" are they alright anyone put these tires on the nangkangs just dont cut it with 300+ atw

Eagle F1's are crap, they last a while and that's about it. My last car used to break traction up to 100km when I came on boost. 225/45/16 they were, 175/65/14 retreads gripped better

I used to have them on my ute and found that they gripped quite well, very slippery for the first 50km but after that really good

GS-D3 are awesome; best wet weather bar none I've tried and great grip in the dry. Nice and quiet too.

I've just put GS-D3's in 17" on mine. Haven't pushed them hard yet but very happy so far. They steer more precisely than the Dunlop's. With the wet season coming up, I'll know soon what they're like with some rain about. The tyre dealer did recommend them for wet weather grip.

Interesting that the Michelin agent said Mich Preceda's let go in the wet and said BF Goodrich are much better

Michelin own BF Goodrich, so they (the dealer) probably just make a bigger margin on that tyre than the one you were looking at.

Oh, come on.........You're noy saying that the dealer would go for higher profit instead of giving the right advice. Gee. never heard of that

Either way, I went for the Goodyears instead and glad I paid a couple of bucks more for peace of mind. Hate that skating off the road feeling when it rains!!

Hi,

I have had a set of 17" GS-D3's for a couple of months now. Brilliant tyres in the wet. Not too bad on road noise either.

Cost me $240 each (New Zealand $) which included fitting, balancing and a full wheel alignment (all 4 wheels).
