Go see pedders or some1 similar and speak to them so you can work over the options, and a 1 tonne falcon ute cant even carry 1 tonne. Its all a load of advertisign bullsh*t, because they dont take out the weight of the body and fuel, passenger ect. U can increase the carrying capacity of your ute by either adding a spring in the back or, changing the springs to the 1 tonne rated springs. Might work, might now work. ←nup, cant be done with out full and I mean full enginering. The load rating is to do with the tires and rims not the car/springs. No fbt on the T at all. It has to do with wording along the lines of " no fbt applies if the carring capacity of the ute is considerably greater than the total weight of the passengers" (passengers are assumed to be 68kg each so 2x68=136) pay load for the xr is 490KG not 750KG.←Springs have more to do with it than tyres and rims, that's just mearly load rating. These cars are my business and I can you that as a certian thing. But yes also tyres and rims need to be changed. But what was a concern of mine, the GROSS vehicle mass wouldnt change if you changed springs tyres ect, so im the eyes of ATO it still has that carrying capacity. I suppose that's where full engineering would come into play but as I read above apparently it dun matter←Should be alright, its a good loop hole for anyone in business who wants a luxury car without the luxury car tax. Tornado isnt listed on there but we rang the Tax office and they said it was fine. Im thinking once im over the Territory I may go and get me a FPV ute of some description, no more log book

XR6 Turbo Ute is not subject to FBT and neither is the Tornado. Cheers.←Mate, this is true. The load carrying capacity is rubbish. The fact that it seats only two is enough - trust me. You should NOT be paying FBT on your ute, simple.
