Yes were a bit slow up here, my daughters boyfriend works for the local Expensive Daewoo Dealership :spit: and tells me they only just got there first shipment of VE's.

Coming home from work yesterday on the M1 in my company 2.7 Hilux, and I spotted something different in a bright red up front, so naturally I accelerate to have a look but as I did, this thing was starting to bolt, it must have been doing at least 150+kph, but none the less I still overtook it for a look (a little to there surprise :yeahyeah: ) and what I found was a VE SS Commy with no plates on it what so ever, not even trading plates :gooff:

It had three blokes in it, I'd say the salesmen were taking it for a floggin. They looked extremely surprised when the Hilux came up beside them.(Oh what a feeling :spoton: )

As much as this kills me to say, I did think it looked very nice :spit:

but the rest of the package is yet to be proven.

Oh, and I would NEVER buy one, not while FORD is branded across my :bum:

Me too - yesterday. Except my story is funnier, I think.

The salesman pulled out of Zupps in front of me (I was in my 'phoon) an lo' and behold, we got a red light with plenty of straight road in front of us and we were both on pole. He gave it a bit in first and then second before I looked sideways, mouthed something like "buy a Ford" and put my foot down in second - all that ever does is light them up instantly, have a little fishtail, put it in third and disappear real quick.

Not a bad looking car though in the rear view mirror..........

Yeah I saw a Black Bogan special last week, sad to say they look Fat As!

As long as it has the performance to back it up. I love my T, but I'm neither a Ford or a Expensive Daewoo man!! I just love performance!!!

Aswith most Expensive Daewoo dealers the local one here had the public viewing day yesterdayand there was very few people looking at them from the front they look like a smaller terri with bmw front gaurds the back is a blown up version ofthe 380.

What Ian, said.

They look alright but I aint a huge fan, the new Bogan special looks a bit better than the standard SS, has a few more subtle feature changes on the rear end to distinguish it from a 380

I don't think they are too bad, a couple things I did notice were the ride height for start (way too high! especially on the omega) and the 18 and 19" wheels didn't look as big because they have I higher profile tyre.

I swung past my local dealer yesterday also. There was nobody there, just two dopey lookin salesman playin pocket billiards. In the flesh, the front and rear of the Bogan special looks weird, but from a side on view they look quit tuff. The Omega is boring all over. I thinkk the SS is gunna be prettty evil lookin' on Police guise.

I thought the same thing... I must admit I do like the stance of the new VE, and I would not be surprised if on the track it out performs the Fords due to it 50/50 weight distribution and it has very little nose canter-leaving over the front wheels...

But then I had a look at it's brakes... What a good forsaken let down. Same garbage as what on the lesser models and same as ford also...

When will Ford and Expensive Daewoo realise a Hi performance car needs Hi performance brakes......

The racing version has to meet the blue print rules so I believe they are just crafting the new shape onto the old body shell it should not change to much.
