N/a 6 Plus V8 Twin Exhaust

I have a N/A falcon BA XT 6 which is a single pipe all the way 2.25inch, I have investigated this for around four months now and this will work,but my dilemma is below.

Picked up a full V8 system yetserday from cat back now I am in a confused state were do I keep going with the exhaust I am building or just whack the twin 2.25inch v8 system in , the build system is twin 2.5 in with pacies and twin mufflrs out either side at the back. Can anyone explain the benefits from either would my build exhaust be better or would the v8 be better I am after a good sound but want the system to work power wise.The benefit of the v8 exhaust is it will mostly bolt straight in but my build exhaust has a lot of welding and work in it.

Will take any and all comments.

dont you hate it when you have something drop in your lap that is a good alternative when you have already starting something else.

Last question with the v8 twin are the standard mufflers used or is sports mufflers added?

I would put the standed 8 exhaust, it flows heaps for N/A 6, and will not drone.

I think so, how much power depends on what cat you use.

I just realised I havent added a pic of my car anywhere so I thought I would whack one up so people looking at this thread have a reference to the type of car I have and the mods that are slowly happening

2003 BA XT N/A 6, best over the 1/4 16.2 with full tank of petrol and tool box and spare wheel and all reaction times not worth a mention.

only mod air intake still work in progress home made, exhaust to come as you see.

So are you going to slice a hole in the rear bar for the exhaust tip? From what I can see in your pic it looks like an XR tip - is that right?

Yeh gonna do the cut and shut on the rear bar, I am one to keep the car as an XT not mock up XR, not saying that's a bad thing just not something I want to do, I have made up a surround that will go around the cut to tidy it up so it doesnt look like a hole going no where.

I like the burnouts, went to willowbank for the first time in around 10 years so at the piont this shot was taken I was still learning the best way of getting the Falcon lit, got bigga as the night went on, no photos to prove that but, Damn it.

Cool, sounds good! Can't say I'm a fan of dump pipes on ANY Falcon but I think some who mod an XT do that in place of the existing OEM setup. You'll have to post some more pics when the exhaust is fitted!
