hi there dont want to sound like a boy racer but has any one installed a blow off valve on a xr6 turbo with the auto and is it worth while doing so. any help would be appreciated

Plenty of people have. If it is worth while can only be determined by the signal to noise ratio you desire erm..how much attention you want to draw to yourself.

From memory though, it's been said here before that there is zero performance gain in installing one however.

worth doing? they dont do anything but make a noise. basically if u want the noise, then do it. if not dont waste your money.

I think the point he was making was the fact its an auto... in which case it wouldnt make the noise on gearchange... only when you lift your foot off the throttle

Its totally up to you mate, but I wouldnt if you are chasing any sort of gain... waste of money

I love the noise mine makes when you lift off the gas. :laughing: Should see the face of the Expensive Daewoo driver when they think they have pulled up to race a GT and then they here the BOV.Some have gone as far to say that theres a twin turbo GT running around the Gold Coast. :laughing:

Here in NSW it can be an expansive ticket, but they dont sound to bad as long as they arnt the sydney symphony orchastra type.

I've got the Sonic FlarterBlarter Inc. #5.

Always found it to give much better upper decibel response.

Maintenance can be a pain in the arse however.

Oh.....sorry. :laughing: Wrong blow-off valve.... :pinch:
