Dvd Players - In Car

Well I saved my penny's and splashed out and brought myself, or should I say for my car! A VDO roof mount dvd player with 8" flip down screen. Comes with 2 infrared head phones and remote.

I was a little worried on how it would go on installing it as I have a sunroof. Autobarn Narrre Warren professionally installed it without a problem, they said that they needed to put a piece of wood in the roof to keep the dvd player secure, because of the sunroof.

Tell you what! It's the best investment for your car as it keeps the kids quiet and entertained.

Autobarn have also hooked up an interface so the dvd plays through the front screen on the control panel, which also comes through the premium sound.

Anyone else thinking of getting a dvd player -I recommend the roof mount.

Any pics of your installed mate? Esp at night with both screens on?

Also, is it legal to have the rear screen on whilst driving?

It has a plug where you can hook up a playstation or Xbox, so another bonus.

I know its illegal to drive with the front screen going but not the rear.

I bought a roof mounted 10 1/4" one myself to put in. It was going to be a 20 minute job until we discovered Ford bolt the interior light in, not just screws. So the headliner had to come out.

So one thing led to another and 2 amps, 4 speakers, a sub, a roof mount dvd and facility for the playstation later it is finally all in the car

Wasnt having a dig at ya man, just wondering where people stand with the law and tv screens as my cuz had to rig his up to the hand brake, but his mate who has a WK Grange has pornos playing all day long on his rear screens.. So yeah..?

I think I heard a few cases already (in the US of A, where else) of a driver who ran into the back of another car denying responsibility because driver in front "distracted them" with the rear mount dvd screens. and a lady sueing for "emotional distress" beacuse she saw a porno going on on the dvd in the car infront.
